Ragtrail started with a simple observation from people who had worked both ends of the trade: a charity in the UK and a sorting house in Karachi were each paying intermediaries to vouch for someone they could have verified themselves.
We started with the buyers, signing verified, duty-compliant sorting houses to written specifications, because trustworthy demand was the scarce side. Then we moved the first containers by hand, and wrote down every rule we had to invent along the way. That set of rules is now the Ragtrail KYB standard.

Seller and buyer pass KYB. A trade record is opened with the agreed spec, price, terms and route.

Token issued
A digital token is issued on a permissioned ledger, linked one-to-one to the container, its documents and its bill of lading. One container, one token.

Financed in transit
A licensed financier advances funds against the token while the goods are at sea, so the supplier can be paid earlier and the buyer can defer.
